All dances will count towards the trophy for each Pre-Premier class

COMPETITION RULES & REGULATIONS

1. All dancing will be governed by the rules and regulations of the Scottish Official Board of Highland Dancing.
2. The 2008 championship steps are required for the championship classes only.
3. Age as of July 10th, 2008 will apply to all classes.
4. All competitors will dance in reverse order of registration (first to enter is last to dance).
5. All dancers must be in designated area prior to commencement of class. Any dancer who causes delay will forfeit his/her entry in that event.
6. The Competition Committee reserves the right to combine or split classes as necessary.
7. Protests must be made in writing, signed and given to the competition secretary before the completion of the results and must be accompanied by a $25.00 fee, refundable if sustained.
8. Pre-Premier category changes must be emailed to pwjohnston2@shaw.ca no later than July 6, 2008.
9. Judges decision is final
10. Numbers will be available at the registration desk upon presentation of ScotDance Registration card on the day of the competition.
11. Competitors must in FULL dress to receive awards.
12. Positively No refunds after acceptance of entry.
13. No telephone or hand delivered entries will be accepted.

ENTRY FEES

Championship - $35.00 per class
Pre-Championships - $25.00 per class
Premier Nationals Under 16 - $5.50 per dance
Premier Nationals 16 Years and Over - $6.00 per event
Primary, Beginner, Novice, Intermediate - $5.50 per dance

AWARDS

Medals and Trophies will be awarded in all classes Under 16
Cash awards for Premier Highland and Nationals 16 & Over
Special awards for Championship classes
